Super Script + Tweaks To Speed UP N900 Dramatically

INSTALLING THE NEWEST PATCH

1-) Download the patch.tar.gz from attachments or HERE it contains the speedpatch.sh and the transitions.ini (To use it after applying the patch if you want)
place it in MyDocs

BTW : it is recommended to use good transitions.ini although it is optional to use (guide using them is below the patch guide)

2-)Dependency
You need To have rootsh1.8 installed
install it by :

apt-get install rootsh bash
————————–

3-) Apply The patch:

sudo gainroot
————————–

mkdir /usr/local/sbin
cp /home/user/MyDocs/speedpatch.tar.gz ./
tar xzvf speedpatch.tar.gz
mv speedpatch /etc/event.d
mv transitions.ini /home/user/MyDocs
chmod +rwx speedpatch.sh
chmod +rwx /etc/event.d/speedpatch
bash ./speedpatch.sh
rm speedpatch.sh
/etc/rc.local

————————–
Then REBOOT
————————–
PS : Ignore Any Errors appear about device resource busy or any others

HOW TO UNINSTALL
To remove the patch:

rm /etc/event.d/speedpatch
rm /usr/local/sbin/cgroup_clean
rm /etc/rc.local

BENCHMARK
The simplest way to see how the patch effect
is to open browser windows about 8 before applying the patch
and 8 after applying the patch
you will notice a huge improvement

OPTIONAL
And For transitions file (OPTIONAL)
if you are using the stock themes

sudo gainroot
——————-
cp /usr/share/hildon-desktop/transitions.ini /usr/share/hildon-desktop/transitions.ini.bak
cp /home/user/MyDocs/transitions.ini /usr/share/hildon-desktop/
——————
if not then replace /usr/share/hildon-desktop with the path of your theme so in my case (using the blue sky theme)
——————
sudo gainroot
——————
cp /usr/share/themes/Blue-sky/transitions.ini /usr/share/themes/Blue-sky/tranistions.ini.bak
cp /home/user/MyDocs/transitions.ini /usr/share/themes/Blue-sky/
——————
And if you ae using theme-customizer

sudo gainroot
cp /opt/theme-customizer/transitions.ini /opt/theme-customizer/transitions.ini.bak
cp /home/user/MyDocs/transitions.ini /opt/theme-customizer/

(so they are applied once changing theme using theme-customizer)

DONE

If you want to restore the original transitions.ini
ex :

sudo gainroot
—————-
cp /usr/share/themes/Blue-sky/transitions.ini.bak /usr/share/themes/Blue-sky/tranistions.ini
—————-

NOTE: the transition.ini file has [thp tweaks] section in the end of it
Also parallax and zoom_on_press under [home] section
So you can use it with CSSU

You may not feel all the changes with transitions until reboot
So a reboot is recommended
